There is an article in the July 21 Infoworld about a portable micro-vax called "DEC Star". The article seems a bit muddled, at one point it says that it is pitched at CAD/CAM and has 10% the power of a 780. A price of $7000 os mentioned. Anyone know any more. DEC Star is called VAX Star. I can't tell you whether such a product exists or not, but I can tell you that you can call your local sales rep. and ask him for a "non-disclosure" presentation on a product which may or may not exist and may or may not be called VAX Star. jms +-------------------------------+ | Joel M Snyder | BITNET: jms@arizmis.BITNET | Univ of Arizona Dep't of MIS | ArizoNET: MRSVAX::JMS | Tucson, Arizona 85721 | Pseudo-PhoneNET: (602) 621-2748 +-------------------------------+ (std. disclaimer in re: nobody taking anything I say seriously) --*> "Wherever you go ... there you are." -- Buckaroo Bonzai <*--
