Does anyone know of any symbolic manipulation programs besides SMP from Inference Corp. or MACSYMA from Symbolics for a VAX running VMS? Thanks in advance Tom Williams

Yes, there is Waterloo University's 'MAPLE'. I tried it while it was there, and it seemed very good with one caveat --- it appeared to perform single-character I/O to the console, possibly because of the 'C' library --- but I expect they've cured that by now.
