Our new 8500 is having problems. The TU81 Plus, which worked initially is no longer recognized by VMS (4.4). Someone suggested that we didn't have pTdriver. We've looked all over and can't find a pTdriver anywhere. We then tried standalone backup using the floppies and the console. Standalone backup complains about not finding pBdriver and then says it can't find the tape drive. This makes me think that pTdriver and pBdriver might be the same guy--neither of which do we have! As should be obvious from this message, I don't know much about this stuff, but am getting pretty frustrated as are my users. Anyone have any hints, ideas, or other comments? Phone me collect if that's faster than email. Thanks, -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Bob Paver (512) 338-3316 Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corp.
