Does anyone have accurate information or hard experience of using some of the existing Unibus devices connected to the BI interface? I'm particularly interested in the 8700 or 8500/8550 and in the devices LP11,DZ11,DMF32,DUP11,VS11,TU80. We're currently considering an upgrade for two existing 780's and it would save a great deal on the initial outlay if we were able to keep some of these devices. DEC(UK) have been a dead loss as far as information on the BI Unibus is concerned. I have heard of an 'official list' of BI Unibus supported devices but I suspect it my only contain those devices which DEC have certified and probably won't contain devices which are no longer in DEC's price lists. We also have some special purpose Unibus interfaces. I'd be interested to hear of any specific problems people have had. I hope to be pleasantly surprised and to learn that nobody has had any serious problems connecting existing devices. Thanks in advance to anyone who may reply... P.S.
