[I forwarded the INFO-VAX mail to a colleague who I knew has written a plotter symbiont; this is the response] Sorry, I can't help much. We do have a plot symbiont, but the command codes for the plotter are home-grown as we built the plotter controller ourselves. I can't send you the source of it as much of it is duplicated in our network printing symbiont and I'm not allowed to send that. I would suggest that if the guy at Stevens College (if that's right) has got his plotter plugged directly into an async port on his VAX, then he just modify the existing symbiont and use PRINT/PASSALL. If he can get hold of the source of any user-written symbiont then that should give him something to work from. Alistair Scolley.
