[mod.computers.vax] SI disks

Anyone have any experience with the 9751/9761 "C" series disks
from System Industries? These are supposed to be DEC RAxx emulators --
plug 'em right in to your HSC, UDA50 or KDB50 -- no special device
drivers or anything. They are especially appealing since I can get
them for about half what DEC will charge me for RA81s.
Comments from anyone, satisfied or otherwise, about
performance, reliability, whatever will be appreciated.

I cannot comment on the RAxx emulator stuff (though it sounds attractive,
I am tired of applying patches to DRDRIVER), but in our experience the 9751
(Eagle) and 9761 (Condor) drives are excellent. Reliability at our site
has been good.
