Does anyone have any experience of transferring DVI files to/from a VAX/VMS system to an IBM-PC/XT running MicroTeX ? Simple-minded methods, using Kermit, produce files which each system's DVI-reader regards as illegally formatted. Thanks to all who told me I should have told Kermit that DVI files were binary. I find that "Kermit> Set file type fixed" produces the best results. Now I have a r e a l problem - the DVI files are incompatible! A kern which works fine on the PC produces an enormous negative x-shift on the VAX. Oh well, I've just got an official K&S tape, so I'll let DVItype have a go at the problem. ** Phil.
