We are planning on installing a terminal server system. We anticipate con- nections to at least 64 terminals and 3 hosts, an 11/780, an 8800 and a Balance 8000. Therefore: Does anyone who uses the DEC Ethernet Terminal Servers have any statistics on system overhead for LAT? How effective is the connectivity to non-LAT hosts? How reliable is the hardware and software? Is there a noticeable contention problem across the Ethernet? While we're on the subject: What about Able's Attach system? If anyone's using it, how do you like it? Any problems? Is anyone using a different terminal server system with especially good results. I don't mind getting inundated with information and I will post the results of this query to this mailing list. Thank you all!!
