Having fooled with the intricacies of internetwork gateways and differing
command syntax among the various networks, I would like to simplify how
our users send messages on the networks. I've now outlined a fairly simple
program that will insert automatically the needed headers and footers for
various gateways (I'm on BITNET). Most of our users are liberal arts faculty
with little tolerance for needless computer complexity.
Before I sit down and generate code, however, I am curious if this type
of item might already be available at other sites. After all, there's no
point in reinventing the wheel.
I'd like to hear from others out there who may already have subh a program,
or are interested in developing one.
