[mod.computers.vax] ZILCH

levy@ttrdc.UUCP (10/20/86)

I've been looking for a ZILCH or ZILCH emulator which runs on UNIX systems.
Please, folks, has anyone heard of such a thing? Or even would know who
wrote ZILCH or where to get the source code for a port, if such can be gotten
or bought (even VAX assembly language, ich), or if even there is an EMACS
emulation of ZILCH?

(ZILCH is a text editor program which runs under VMS.)

THANK YOU!!!

Zilch is written by WILLIAM P. WOOD Jr. while he was at the Institute for
Cancer Research (ICR). The program and lots of other goodies were submitted
in the 82B vax sig tape. He had since moved to

SMITH KLINE BECKMAN
1500 Spring Garden St. Mail stop F101
Philadelephia, PA 19101 (215) 751-3008 (as of 12/84)

I believe the program was written in RATFIV. Zilch is my favorite editor!
It has many of the common Emacs likeness without the extensive programming
capability.
