Hmmm. As if to answer my own earlier query, I've stumbled upon the DMB32 in my latest DECdirect Catalog. In Canadian dollars, they look about the same price as a DECserver-200, but you get one synch line and one parallel printer port extra. It takes one slot in the BI backplane. What circumstances would justify DMB32s instead of using DECservers? How many slots are available in the BI backplane? Can DMB32s be daisy- chained together? Our site already has ethernet, one delni, and one DECserver (experimental). We connect to our systems through a Gandalf PACX, so modem control is critical. Any comments are welcome. Brent.
