Just edit the SYSTARTUP.COM to install MAIL (and PHONE if you want it). To keep uVMS small the default is to install almost nothing. The SYSTARTUP.COM file includes installation for a number of products that would benefit if installed. They are commented out. Most just need installation for performance reasons but a few require installation for privs and won't work right if not installed. If you have adequate memory, I suggest installing all of the executables listed and read the SYSTARTUP.COM comment throughout. Several other customizations are nice in some configurations. R.
