We are experiencing a problem and perhaps some on these lists can shed some light. We are a DEC 20/TOPS-20 site converting to a VAX 8650. We got the conversion tools tape from DEC but have been unable to get the tape utility on it to read our Tops Dumper tapes onto the VAX. The dumper that wrote these is vanilla and I believe the latest version. I don't think that Interchange format was used when they were written... is that going to cause us problems? Is anyone else on VAXes had any luck reading Tops 20 Dumper tapes onto a VAX VMS system with any success with any tool?? Thanx in advance for any suggestions, advice, condolences, ...
