Is anyone using volume shadowing ? What good is it ? It appears, from the documentation, that it's useless for a system disk. (A volume cannot be backed-up when it is an active shadow member, and to make it one (or to take it out of a shadow set), both the shadowED and shadow disk must be dismounted.) In any case, I've yet to get it to work at all. (I keep getting a message telling me that the device I want to shadow is not a valid shadow device. (the manual mentions, in regards to the error message) that you cannot shadow tape drives - This is an RA81 !!! (both shadowED and shadow !) On another note... (posted before but never seen)... What causes an active system disk to NOT boot from an online image backup ? (ie: certain files open ? If so, which ones ?) Is there a way to get around this ? Thanks !
