Concerning the REWIND problem with FORTRAN and VMS 4.5: I have found that using the SHARE qualifier in the OPEN statement prevents the REWINDing of files. If the file is opened without the SHARE qualifier, the file can be rewound. Charles Boatwright SYSPRO2@TAMVENUS.BITNET 409-845-8467
