XLINTITZ@DDATHD21.BITNET.UUCP (01/16/87)
Since a long time I use the compatibilty mode DECUS program TPC (it's
a fast tape copy program well known in the RSX world) on my 750 under
V4.2 and VAX/RSX. It worked perfectly until Christmas last year but
since that time it crashes with the error message see below after
copying some hundred feet of tape statistically. Nothing important in
the system has changed in between (as I now and as I hope). We had no
major changes to our system like upgrades etc. I checked several
system parameters, rebuild the task, run CPU tests etc. but I found no
indication of any hardware malfunction. (except that obviously our
Time-of-year clock doesn't work)
Has anybody an idea where I could look in (I have no software
maintenance contract) and I am not familiar with the layered product
VAX/RSX at all.
Thanks.
