From: Miller.pasa@Xerox.ARPA By the way, while we're on the subject, I'm looking for a NICE, preferably illustrated copy of The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings to give as a wedding gift. I know there is a decent illustrate edition of TH still in print, but I' like something older. I've heard that at one time or another there was an edition published with Tolkien's own illustrations; does anybody have information on that? Just out of curiosity, anybody know how much a first edition HOBBIT might go for? Any other suggestions would be welcome. (I know about book searches, etc. but I'm moving soon and I've been having some trouble with the local book dealers. I'd just like to know what you all know about.
