Does a port of the Unix RCS exist for VMS systems? I've never heard of one. Are there any other Revision Sources Control packages available for a VMS Vax (Public Domain or Commercial)? I don't know of an PD ones. DEC sells a package to do revision control called CMS (Code Management System, though of course it can be used to manage files other than code files). CMS is not an emulation of RCS or SCCS; it has its own interface. Pretty powerful tool. CMS is part of a collection of products sold under the name VAXSet, which includes stuff like MMS (an analogue of make; in this case, the interface is pretty much the same as for Unix make) and several other "software development environment" products. The collection costs a lot less than the sum of its parts. -- Jerry -------
