Yup.  These drives are trash.  I had 5 drives come in.  Three needed their
HDA's replaced within 3 months.  Of the replaced HDA's, two have died
already.  This makes 5 catastrophic failures out of 8 HDA's.  Deaths seem
to occur any where from a few weeks to a few months after installation.

When these things go, they go quick.  One day all is well, the next day
you've got 10,000 parity errors.

We told System Industries to take them out.  We are replacing the 5 SI
9761's (their model number for the 600 (or so) Mb Fujitsu super-eagle).
with 7 SI 9751's (normal eagles).  We've had 9751's for years with superb
reliability.
