Yes, you need to update IMAGELIB as well:
 
        $ Rename SYS$SYSTEM:SMBSRVSHR.EXE SYS$SHARE:
 
         (making sure that in a common system disk cluster that you use)
        $ Rename SYS$COMMON:[SYSEXE]SMBSRVSHR.EXE SYS$COMMON:[SYSLIB]
 
        $ Library/Replace/Share SYS$SHARE:IMAGELIB.OLB SYS$SHARE:SMBSRVSHR.EXE
