The following is the ACCOUNTING utility's repesentation of a bad subprocess termination record in the accounting file on our 8650 (VMS V4.4). Notice that the username is missing, and instead contained 12 nulls (^@), and also that the account was left blank. This is the first time that any of us here have seen such an accounting record. Has anyone else seen a record link this, or could it just have been a one-time strange happening? Incidently, the ACCOUNTING utility is not at fault, since our own Bliss-32 program which processes the accounting file also found the nulls in the username field. -Jim Murawski -Carnegie Mellon SUBPROCESS Process Termination ------------------------------ Username: UIC: [Y611,Y611DB3L] Account: Finish time: 9-FEB-1987 23:36:59.16 Process ID: 20200AFC Start time: 9-FEB-1987 23:36:52.46 Owner ID: 20200AB9 Elapsed time: 0 00:00:06.70 Terminal name: Processor time: 0 00:00:00.01 Remote node addr: Priority: 2 Remote node name: Privilege <31-00>: 00108000 Remote ID: Privilege <63-32>: 00000000 Queue entry: Final status code: 00000000 Queue name: Job name: Final status text: <no text> Page faults: 19 Direct IO: 0 Page fault reads: 0 Buffered IO: 0 Peak working set: 44 Volumes mounted: 0 Peak page file: 2755 Images executed: 1 -------
