[mod.computers.vax] Bad record in accounting file

JM9W@TE.CC.CMU.EDU.UUCP (02/10/87)

The following is the ACCOUNTING utility's repesentation of a
bad subprocess termination record in the accounting file on
our 8650 (VMS V4.4). Notice that the username is missing,
and instead contained 12 nulls (^@), and also that the account
was left blank. This is the first time that any of us here have
seen such an accounting record. Has anyone else seen a record
link this, or could it just have been a one-time strange happening?
Incidently, the ACCOUNTING utility is not at fault, since our
own Bliss-32 program which processes the accounting file also
found the nulls in the username field.
