Hi, We have a laser printer (Dataproducts 2610) that has two input bins and the ability to control which bin is used by the appropriate control codes. We would like to put colored paper in one bin and white paper in the other and print all flag pages a different color than the print jobs themselves. This will help the students who run the printer (no snickers please...) seperate jobs (they are already mumbling about all the loose paper) easily. The problem is I can't seem to figure out what combination of forms/setups /page_setups/etc. it takes to make it each print job come out as flag page (blue) first page (white) second page (white) ... next-to-last page (white) last page (white) (next job) flag page (blue) etc... Any ideas? I will do almost anything to keep from modifying the print symbiont (I break out in hives every time I thing out it). I called Colorado CSC and they were pretty sure that it couldn't be done, but they would put it into research. HAs anyone done this on a Dataproducts 2610 or 2630 laser printer? In the case of no nice way (here come the hives), is there anyone who has done some modification of a print symbiont that would have some words of warning? Thanks for any help, John Bredesen Carleton College CSNET: jbredese@carleton.edu
