I have a user-written print symbiont that passes back an error status for a job to the job controller. If the user's request was submitted with /notify, then the error status is returned to the user's terminal. My problem is that I haven't figured out how to define a message file that OPCOM or JOBCTL will pick up for the message text. (I'm not sure which sends the message to the user.) For now, I've picked a system error message that more or less makes sense, but would rather figure out how to get my arbitrary message text back to the user. Is there an acceptable way to add messages to the system message file, or get a system process to effectively do a $set message <file>, or ????
