We have a microvax and a vax 11/780 on decnet. We can send mail
from the microvax to the vax - but when we send mail from the
vax to the microvax we get this error:
MAIL> send
To: nodename::user
MAIL-E-LOGLINK, error creating network link to node nodename
SYSTEM-F-LINKEXIT, network partner exited
MAIL>
We have no problems transfering files, etc. There is no
NETSERVER.LOG created that we can find on the remote node(microvax).
The microvax MAIL.COM, MAIL.EXE have standard protection and MAIL
is in the default configuration database. Any suggestions are
appreciated!

since it is inbound mail to the microvax, and since most microvaxen come without mail installed, and since mail needs privs that the default decnet account doesn't have, I would presume that you simply need to install mail on the microvax side..... -ed cetron
