hello all, O.K. I really appreciate all of the replies that I have been receiving. I have another question. This is much more specific. Let's suppose we have a single CPU VAX machine (785,8600,etc..). This machine is going to run a Database administrative package. This package is going to rely on heavy DISK I/O. Will there be significant performance differences if this machine has an HSC controller? Does it make sense for the type of application that the machine will be subject to, to have the HSC controller? Any help will be greatly appreciated as always. thanks...
