There was a request a while ago for details on the PSI patch to XGDRIVER.EXE for 4.4/5. I have now received the floppy of this patch. It did not come with a patch number, but I can provide the synopsis which came with it: Digital Customer Support Center 305 Rockrimmon Blvd. South Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919-2398 SUBJECT: VMS 4.4 and 4.5 patch for XGDRIVER.EXE The VAX 3271 Protocol Emulator V2.3 cannot be run from a DMF32 synchronous port under VMS 4.4 and 4.5. This also applies to the VAX 2780 and 3780 Protocol Emulator. There are also problems with the usage of the Protocol Emulator causing system crashes with UBMAPEXCED bugchecks on VMS V4.5. The XGDRIVER_V44PAT.COM procedure corrects this problem by patching and creating a new version of the sys$system:XGDRIVER.EXE. Once the patch has been applied, the system must be rebooted. etc. details on application of the patch. I suggest you show this information to your DEC rep (Field Service may be better than sales people). I did not have the patch number but had no problem getting it. Hope this is useful.
