MARTIN@sysf.salford.ac.UK.UUCP (03/27/87)

Hello,
Ive not realy been connected with this list for very long.
So now the next question wont make me sound to daft.
What is FINGER. Is it PD. I think some of the PD stuff
that people have sent me such as SWING are realy good.
So any info would be most helpfull.

My views have nothing what so ever to do with my employers.
And 98% of what I say is normaly daft.

I'm sorry I don't know what a PD (because I am new to this list also)but I can
tell you finger does. Finger is an interactive process that tells you what the
users on the system are currently doing, who is logged on, how long has the
port been idle and when did the user logon at.
