========================================================================== To info-vax through gateway smtpuser@wiscvm -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone, I am interested in public domain softwares that run BBOARD. I am runing VAX/VMS systems and DECnet. Right now, I create an account that dedicates to BBOARD. Any incoming mail to BBOARD will be automatically forwarded to subcribers whoese IDs are in the file BBOARD.DIS (by SET FORWARD @BBOARD inside MAIL). The problems I can see inlude 1) the subcribers can not be added to the list automatically; 2) If one node is disconnected, the sender cannot send out the message because the system checks each address in the list before sending. 3) subcribers receive BBOARD news in mail that mix up with their personal mails. Subcribers may want to treat them sperately. 4) It doesn't allow multiple channels or subBBOARDs. I'd appreciate for suggestions. I prefer the BBOARD software to be smail. I only try to build connections among several micro-vaxs of a research center. Thank you in advance.
