I am happy to announce that there is a new version of MAKE. Todd Aven's version of MAKE uses UNIX syntax for the makefiles. Make is available via anonymous FTP from "harvard.harvard.edu". The files are in the directory ~ftp/vms/makevms. The file make.enc is a backup saveset which includes objects and an executable image, that has been run through MFTU twice, once to pack the data, and again to encode the binary into ascii. MFTU is in the file ~ftp/vms/mftu.com. BITNET and UUCP requests cannot be handled at this time. Please be patient. Server software is being worked on to make this software (and others) available to anyone who can send a mail message. This is Todd's program, he deserves all credit.
