Does anyone know where I can get the specification for the protocol used by DECServer terminal servers? I know that it doesn't use DECnet and I've glanced at the VMS lat programs on microfische (4.2 source) but it doesn't jump out and hit you in the face. Does DEC publish a specification like they do for DECnet or do they want to keep it "secret"? What I would really like to do, and this should probably be the question, is use a DECServer 100 to log into a Sun-3 running 3.0. If anyone has tried this or knows of software available I would be interested in hearing about it. Thanks in advance, Charles

The LAT protocol is definitely proprietary. The proper response to this obnoxious policy is, of course, not to buy DEC terminal servers.
