Hello, welcome to info-applebus. The purpose of this list is to facilitate the exchange of information about networking systems that use AppleTalk protocols and hardware. These systems may include games, file servers, bridges and gateways, and implementations of other network protocols, such as TCP/IP. Discussions at any level are welcome, from RS422 signal levels and the 8530 SCC chips in the Mac to games protocol RFCs to Please send submissions to info-applebus@c.cs.cmu.edu (or cmu-cs-c for those of you using the 'old' host names). Administrative requests should be sent to info-applebus-request@c.cs.cmu.edu. Archives are available on cmu-cs-c in the file ps:<applebus>mail.txt. A smattering of Appletalk software is available in the directory <applebus.programs>{filename}. CMU supports anonymous FTP over the arpanet. Please send contributions of software to info-applebus-request. I will post it on net.sources.mac for usenetters and mail it (on request) to bitnet and csnet sites that are unable to FTP or receive usenet newsgroups. - Ralph In case you were wondering, the list is called info-applebus because AppleBus was the name for Apple's networking products before they were given the name AppleTalk when they were announced. -------
