[mod.protocols.appletalk] SCSI - Ethernet posting.

Subject: SCSI <-> ethernet ?
Newsgroups: net.micro.mac

WARNING: This request has been sent both to net.micro.mac as well as
         mod.protocols.appletalk. Accept my appologies, those of you
         who encounter it twice.

        A little while ago I posted a request to INFO-APPLEBUS trying
to find whether there were any "affordable" Mac <-> ethernet black boxes
which would allow a Macintosh to sit (alone - ie not sharing access through
Appletalk) and speak to the ethernet.
        All I discovered was that there is a company in (you guessed it)
California named Kinetics that are trying to develop a commercial version
of Bill Croft's (SUMEX') SEAGATE.

        So now I ask: What about SCSI?? So far I have only seen articles
discussing third party HardDisk manufacturers. Does anybody know whether
there exists an Ethernet card that could connect through the Mac+ SCSI
port. If anybody has any information on this, please e-mail me your
response and I will summarize findings of self determined general interest.
