We're already patching distribution 2. The patches fix minor problems in the atp module which could lead to core dumps in the routine killrspcb and also decreased the number of open sockets (in children). They are available via anonymous FTP from CU20B.COLUMBIA.EDU in the directory US:[US.CCK.CAP.D2] as cap.pat1. Future patches will be handled similarly. cap.pat1 is shar archive with two files. The first is a partial rcs log denoting the changes. The second is a context diff suitable for patch. Also available in the same directory is a modified copy of the EFS unix daemon supplied by Dan Tappan of BBN. Unsuprisingly, the modification is to use the CAP libraries. Note: this requires the patches mentioned above (any guesses on how we found the problems? :-). See EFSD.C and EFSD.MAK. You should set INCLUDE in EFSD.MAK to point to the "src" directory of Dan Tappan's distribution. Bill Schilit and Charlie C. Kim Columbia University
