In the Carnegie Mellon University weekly paper, an article came out indicated that rumors of a new workstation with 12 slots, 16 MHz 68020, 2-4 Megs of Rams, 1 meg display memory and a 20 meg disk was be prepared for release by a leading computer company. The machine is code named PARIS and the only prototype in existence is on the CMU campus. Rumor has it that the machine is coming out for Apple, has 4 times the resolution of the Mac, and will have color - all for $7000. Any comments? ds65@andrew.cmu.edu

Let's send rumours and inane speculation to net.micro.mac, not to this mailing list, which is supposed to be for AppleTalk/networking issues. Rob

Regarding the PARIS workstation: suggest that you read Electronic Engineering Times back issue from either late December or early January. They printed a standard set of rumors involving the new Open Mac family, and a few of their code names. -dave
