CITI is building a Macintosh driver for the IP protocol suite. In subsequent notes, we describe the functional interface for driver access to IP, UDP, and TCP. (TCP will be a bit delayed.) We solicit comments from the Macintosh networking community, and are open to discussion and guidance. For font fanatics, the documents can be ftp-ed from citi.umich.edu [35.1.128.16]. You'll need Word 3.0, BinHex, Courier, Palatino, and Symbol fonts. Please address any feedback to info-applebus@c.cs.cmu.edu, or directly to CITI staff: Tim Endres time@citi.umich.edu Steve Fram saf@citi.umich.edu Peter Honeyman honey@citi.umich.edu Omar Juma anon@citi.umich.edu Tom Unger tom@citi.umich.edu All of the above apple_corps@citi.umich.edu Soon we will post documents describing our "loader" and our implementation of the Berkeley UNIX style socket interface. The loader is an INIT resource that loads our drivers, providing them with jump tables and global variables. This work is partially supported by Apple Computer, Inc.
