At the TCP/IP Vendor's Workshop in Monterey, mention was made of a beast called an "Echo Host". As I understand it, this is a tool for shaking out a host implementation of TCP/IP. It simply echoes IP datagrams, with controls for delay, bandwidth, and error rate. Does anyone have code for an Echo Host? In particular for an IBM PC? Also, mention was made at the workshop of the existence of a How-To- Build-An-Echo-Host RFC. I can't find it - can someone tell me the number?
