[mod.protocols.tcp-ip] WISCNET 3270 Protocol Conversion

cam@ACC-SB-UNIX.ARPA.UUCP (01/30/87)

The Telnet Server in the WISCNET software, which is an implementation
of the Internet protocol suite for IBM's VM operating system, creates
a virtual 3270 (using VM's LDSF [Logical Device Support Facility]), for
each Telnet connection. This virtual 3270 always interfaces to the VM
application. If the server telent is unable to negotiate a transparent 3270
session (eg. with Unix tn3270 or UCLA ACP or another WISCNET, etc.), the
virtual 3270 is converted to NVT by server telnet.

My question is, is there a way to do protocol conversion on the VM host
using a package such as SIMWARE's SIM3278 using WISCNET? I know about tn3270
so no need to mention that. I'm looking for a protocol conversion package that
runs in VM, not at the remote end.
