Could someone give an update on the latest ARPANET performance problems? Has there been a significant recovery? The last we have seen on this list was word of the futile attempts to connect to the former address of a host operating a root domain server.. Off the list I have heard concerns about backbone bandwidth insufficiencies and PSN overloading, exacerbated by gateways in operation off of the PSN's. Is more known? Have others noted intermittent reduction to a non-operational state, plus an overall decreased throughput available in reaching other sites? -------
