I'm sorry Mike, but I was always taught that Monday was the first day of the week and, if I was, so must a lot of other people. I cant see that it matters one iota which day is the first considering that there are probably cultures that dont even have 7 day weeks at all (are there?? Where and how do they cope?). From a European/NA point of view the biblical argument seems to be quite reasonable however. Anyway, what I really wanted to say was - How about some people posting (to mod.sources for example) translations of the UN*X error messages into a variety of languages. I am sure that this would be USEFUL (gasps and cries from all around) and its about time we had something like that out of this group given all the noise we made about it. If people dont want to post them to the net, send them to me and I'll accumulate them and I'll package them up and psot them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lindsay F.
