[] I have just purchased a new car and am toying with the idea of treating the engine with a product I have seen advertised called "Slick 50". It is, I believe, one of these products that coat the moving parts of an engine with Teflon. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? Does it work? The ads *claim* that engines have been treated with this stuff, then after some period of time the engine was drained of oil and run with no appreciable damage. While I tend to think that there would be heat damage, I am not concerned about the claim because I don't plan to run the car without oil. I am curious, however, about the benefits the product might have on cold startups, engine life and mileage. Does anyone have any experience that might point to long term damage caused by use of this type of product? Thanks in advance. Mark Longo Denver, Co. ..!ihnp4!drutx!mrl
