This is directed at the person who inquired about washing a black car: My father, who has owned/built/operated/raced/etc. many types of foreign and domestic cars over the years, says that a black car does need special care when it comes to washing: BLOW DRY IT! Seriously, he told me that you cannot dry/buff/chamois a black car - it will streak. Instead, he would drive it down a highway at a reasonably fast speed (50 mph or so, chugging around city streets won't do it) until it was dry. Once home, he would use a soft, clean cloth to remove the water spots. With todays super-blowers at the car washes, I imagine just driving home would do it. Incidently, the two black cars that he had were a 1950's Jaguar and a 1960's (tank-sized) Cadillac. AKL at DEC Holmdel, NJ
