I posted an article some time ago about my PRELUDE '85 wheel vibrates when I brake at hi-speed (>70). Since then, I have received a number of replies from HONDA owners experiencing the same problem. Well, I have my car checked today at a dealer, and the service manager informed me that they found small irregularity on the brake discs (i.e., warped disc) and that they experienced vibration at hi-speed >65. Surprisingly enough, I forgot to tell them the vribration problem (it was a general check-up) and they were able to find out the problem. It seems that this is a general defect of HONDA's brakes, given the number of the same problem, could we do something about it so that HONDA could fix the brakes for free? (I have 17K miles so warrantee has expired). It costs $74.00 plus tax to resurface the disc. Even that, the disc is thinner and might warp again. Any interests or suggestions for such action? khiem h.
