From: Dick <MEAD@USC-ECLB.ARPA> Does any of the software or system support any particular printer or group of same? Can you simply hook up about any serial or parallel (Cent) printer and configure the system/software to use it, or must you give up any special features? How about screen dumps, is it supported by the system or any software you may have seen yet? Anyone have access to other color monitors (RGB) to try, such as the TAXAN 420, etc.... (still trying to decide on Mac or Amiga or ??) -------

Hi, There are many printer drivers included with the system (something around 12). You can select the configuration you want from the preferences tool. This tool allows you to set various parameters, like paper size, serial or parallel port, character pitch, print intensity (threshold), aspect (horizontal or vertical), Inverse or normal (flip bits), and whether you want to print in black and white, gray scale or color (assuming your printer can handle it). I have not seen any screen dumps done yet, but it should be easy to take a bitmap file and just dump it out to the PRT: or SER: device.
