From: Eric <LAVITSKY@GREEN.RUTGERS.EDU> Hi, Some interesting news for those of you who were wondering: 1) Release 1 of the OS and the developers package was shipped on Friday and Saturday via UPS. 2) There are currently 544 developers in addition to the people contracting directly to Commodore (like Island Graphics, Arktronics, Simile Reseacrh etc.), with more requests coming in every day. 3) Look for this Thursday's Wall Street Journal ad from Commodore about products/dealers. 4) Electronic Arts will be releasing the following games on Nov 1: Archon One on One Seven Cities of Gold Skyfox 5) The PC emulator is not ready for release and probably won't be till November. It currently runs MSDOS 2.11 and a subset of Lotus 123. That's right - the Lincoln Center demo was fudged. They will not release it to the public until it works with a list of top-20 programs which includes: Dbase Crosstalk Flight Simulator Lotus 123 Wordstar etc. Hope these little tidbits were interesting... If anyone in the New Jersey area is looking for an Amiga: CMI Systems on Rt. 9 in Englishtown has 5 on the way and no one is signed up for them yet! Have Fun, Eric Info-Amiga Coordinator INFO-AMIGA-REQUEST@RUTGERS -------
