[net.micro.amiga] amiga I/O

From: Thomas P. Low <TLOW@SRI-KL.ARPA>

This is directed mainly at other developers. We at SRI (Stanford Research
Institute) are working on some signal processing software for the amiga, and
are interested in the availability of analog and digital I/O expansion for the
machine. If there are any developers out there who plan to introduce an
expansion board with at least two channels of 20khz 8 bit a/d, two 16 bit
parallel I/O channels, and two channels of 8 bit d/a, we would be interested
in talking with you. We could do the hardware development ourselves, but
since we are not interested in developing hardware products, we would prefer
to save money and effort by purchasing the device off the shelf.

Responses can be net mailed to:

PS. We have been working with the amiga for over a month now, and we have
found the v1.0 software to be quite stable and good to work with. I've read
horror stories on the net of how machines were pulled from computer shows
because of repeated crashes. I find it difficult to understand how this could
happen with the more recent releases of the OS and software. Our experience
has been quite favorable.
