Hello World. After a few tentative steps, we are now really and truly up on Usenet. Over the next few weeks, we are going to start posting technical information and sources to the net along with responses to your questions and requests for support. Bear with us. It will take us a while to catch up with you. I was Amiga's first software person -- way back when we were a startup company struggling along the venture capital breadline. It's been a long haul getting this machine out, and I'm delighted to see the interest it has generated on the net -- even the complaints. If you are excited about the machine, Great! The people posting from here are Commodore's Amiga engineering team. We'll try to make sure you get only the straight stuff. If you are a frustrated developer, let me know! We'll try to cut through any red tape and get you going fast. If you think we've screwed up, thanks for taking the time to tell us! We take ALL suggestions seriously, and if it looks like you are misunderstanding something we'll try to clear things up for you. The process of bringing out a new computer involves an incredible effort in transfer of technology. I don't claim we do it right, yet. But I DO promise that, if you are serious about the Amiga, I will bend over backwards to see that you get what you need. To save everyone the effort of re-reading questions which have been posted here already and not yet gotten a good response, please mail such questions to me directly or to the Amiga support mail-drop that Neil mentioned in his earlier posting. If the answers are of general interest, we will post them to the net. There is also a lively Amiga conference going on over on BIX that we post to. BIX mail for me should be sent to "pariseau". --Bob Pariseau
