RE: Net noise I sometimes get upset about the traffic on usenet too. It seems that most of the talk on .amiga has been mouth flap about "my machine is better than your machine". Or the usual unix chauvinist blathering about why any operating system that isn't unix isn't worth slime. The postings from the Amiga group have been among the most useful of any I have read. Saying that they don't belong is tantamount to saying that that there is no place for true information here. If you were REALLY interested cleaning up the net, you could try doing something about the clowns that post the same message to a half dozen groups. Then teach people to not repost the entire message they are responding to. I am really getting tired of seeing two pages of repeated message with one or two lines of response followed by 10 lines of signature. Finally, show a little restraint before you start frothing at the mouth on the net. These tirades about "we should do this" or "not do that" coupled with all their responses, including this one, take up more space than what they purport to complain about. harold ravlin {ihnp4,pur-ee}!uiucdcs!uicsl!hr
