[net.micro.amiga] Amiga support at the dealers

bobp@amiga.UUCP (Robert S. Pariseau) (11/16/85)

Your Amiga warranty is good at ANY Amiga dealer -- not just the one
you purchased from. Amiga upgrades can be handled by any Amiga
dealer, but you should, of course give first consideration to the
dealer from which you purchased your Amiga.

Individual dealers are free to make any arrangements they want
regarding after purchase support. Most dealers will be delighted to
help you with your new purchase as it is very much in their interest
to establish a long term arrangement with their customers. Other
sources of support include magazines such as Amiga World and the
net stuff you are reading now.

As with any product, dealers are apt to give preferential treatment
to people who actually PURCHASE stuff from them.

We are interested in hearing any comments you have regarding good or
bad treatment you've received at Amiga dealers. Just mail them to me
and I will see that they are forwarded to the appropriate Commodore
regional marketing manager.

Commodore has a commitment to having the best customer support service
in the business. The primary link in that chain is your local Amiga
dealer. If you have any problems in getting support, please let us
know. Please be sure that you include your name, USmail address, and
phone number, as some of the people who receive these reports will not
have access to the network. If your problem is with a specific
dealer, it would be a great help if you could take the time to find
out and tell us their name, address, and phone number.

I can't promise you a personal response, but I CAN promise you that
any problems you report WILL be addressed.

As a reminder to newcomers, mail questions about your Amiga to
amiga!support. Mail about dealers should be sent directly to me.

Enjoy your new Amigas!
