[ ... go ahead, eat my bits ... ] Does anyone have any experience/recommendations on the advisability of turning the external 3.5" disk-drive on its side (so the slot is vertical) in order to save some space? Same question on the 5.25" drive? I seem to recall that some people had problems with their floppy drives on early PC's that were turned vertically. Something about the drive's shaft bushing not being designed to take the loading in that orientation and wearing-out prematurely. Could this be a problem for the Amiga? How about problems for the head/arm components? BTW, anyone know who's drives Amiga uses?
