[net.micro.amiga] Re-distribution license for Workbench stuff

bobp@amiga.UUCP (Robert S. Pariseau) (11/28/85)

TITLE: Re-distribution License for Workbench stuff

Those of you making software products should be aware that Commodore
offers a re-distribution license for Commodore copyrighted material
on the Workbench disk.

With such a license, you can legally include material from the Workbench
disk on software disks that you sell. That means that you can make
your software disks into bootable Amiga disks -- including CLI
commands, disk loaded libraries, device drivers, fonts etc.

The license is royalty free, and is good for some years (I believe
the number is 5 years) for redistribution of a specified set of
Workbench disk files on a specified set of your software products.
You need to tell us these specifications.

There is a one time charge of (I believe) $100 for a license to cover our
handling costs.

If you are interested in obtaining a license, send a letter to:

	Commodore Computer Systems Division
	Attn: Dave Street
	1200 Wilson Drive
	West Chester, PA 19380

Dave will send you a copy of the license agreement for your perusal.

Commodore's software products for the Amiga include other files which
you may wish to incorporate into your products. In particular, compiler
folks may wish to incorporate our include files, libraries, or overlay
linker. We will consider all such requests on an individual basis.
Requests for such special license should also be sent to Dave Street
at the address given above.
